Our middle school consists of students in years 3 - 6 (middle phase). Students in the middle phase engage with the Curriculum to Classroom (C2C) units for students with disabilities (SWDs). In the middle phase there is an important focus on access, engagement and communication and as such parent's are invited to contribute to their child's goals through the individual learning plan (ILP) process and students may be eligible for therapy services if required. To further support our students' learning explicit teaching in a range of programs occurs:
- English programs including Soundwaves, Reading Eggs, Sunshine Online, Salisbury Sight Words, Magic 100 Words (M100W), PM Benchmarking and various apps on the iPad
- Mathematics programs such as Study Ladder, iMaths and various apps on the iPad
- Individual communication programs including Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Proloquo2Go!, Choiceboard Creator, Auslan and Makaton
- Intensive interaction
- FIELA curriculum
- Social skills programs
- Grooming and personal hygiene programs
- Community based learning programs
- Health and physical fitness programs
- Sensory and tactile learning
- Art and music programs offered by specialist teachers
