Senior school

Our senior school consists of students in years 7 - 9 (senior phase). Students in the senior phase engage with the Curriculum to Classroom (C2C) units for students with disabilities (SWDs). They also participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Award program accessing the Bridge Award. In the senior phase there is an important focus on independent living skills and as such students participate in a range of school-based work experience programs. Parent's are invited to contribute to their child's goals through the individual learning plan (ILP) process and students may be eligible for therapy services if required. To further support our students' learning explicit teaching in a range of programs occurs:
  • English programs including Soundwaves, Reading Eggs, Sunshine Online, Salisbury Sight Words, Magic 100 Words (M100W), PM Benchmarking and various apps on the iPad
  • Mathematics programs such as Study Ladder, iMaths and various apps on the iPad
  • Individual communication programs including Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Proloquo2Go!, Choiceboard Creator, Auslan and Makaton
  • School based work experience programs including, tuckshop, cooking, gardening, environmental tasks, administrative tasks and peer buddy programs
  • The Duke of Edinburgh Award program

  • Community based learning programs
  • Health and physical fitness programs
  • Sensory and tactile learning
