Each class at Maryborough Special School is supported
with an ESW (Education Support Worker, previously known as Teachers Aide). Our ESWs are a stable and experienced group of staff members who support teaching and learning across all classrooms.
All teachers have met the professional requirements
for teaching in Queensland public schools. Some teachers also have postgraduate
qualifications in Special Education and Education Technology. Our teachers encourage students to develop a love of
learning through engagement in our school curriculum framework which has a
strong focus on wellbeing, communication, essential life skills and
independence.
We also have access to a physiotherapist, occupational
therapist, speech-language pathologist and guidance officer to support
individual student needs.
The principal and deputy principal are responsible for the educational leadership and management of our school. If you would like to speak to either of them, please contact us to make an appointment.
The administration staff include a highly experienced
BSM (Business Services Manager) and two assistants. Our school administrative staff can answer your
enquiries or direct you to the appropriate staff member for assistance.
